Hello Stacye:

hCG is the acronym for Human Chorionic Gonadotropin, a substance produced in ENORMOUS amounts during pregnancy.

It's a protein, 100% from natural origin.

Usually, the original hCG injections + diet protocol states that only (Dose must be established by treating Physician) (International Units) must be daily applied for a period no exceeding seven weeks, whereas during pregnancy up 1,000,000 IU are daily secreted by the placenta.

Then it follows that hCG administration, when properly applied and supervised by a licensed MD in the course of the hCG protocol for weight loss, no side effects and/or contraindications can be expected.

Regarding pregnancy in the course of the hCG+diet protocol, please remember that weight reduction under ANY dietetic procedure exposes you to a higher probability of getting pregnant. It has nothing to do with hCG, but with weight reduction.

If your decision is to postpone pregnancy, please remember you have to be more careful regarding fertility control. Weight reduction under ANY weight reduction program (I would like to stress this) makes you more fertile.

Best wishes, and good luck in your treatment.
