CommentsI have a couple of friends who have recently started taking the hcg/b12 injections. They have lost a considerable amount of weight and inches and are looking terrific.
I have been steadily gaining weight over the years. I am almost 50 and my doctor told me this week that I am slightly glucose intolerant. If I don't lose some weight, I will become diabetic.
A recent mammogram showed and follow up ultra-sound showed two very small lumps in my right breast. I will have another mammogram in 6 months. No biopsies or treatment is required at this time.
I asked my doctor about the hcg/B12 injections and he did not seem to be very knowledgeable about them.
He said since it is the pregnancy hormone, he would be concerned that I would gain weight and he said he would be afraid of ovarian bleeding.
My concerns:
What are the side effect of the injections?
Has anyone experienced ovarian bleeding?
Would the hormone "feed" a possible newly
developing breast cancer?
I would really like to try the injections and diet, but want to know as much as possible about side effects, etc.
