Yes, hCG is substance mostly appearing (in enormous amounts)during pregnancy. But NO case of "ovarian bleeding" has been reported during pregnancy.  Usually, bleeding during pregnancy indicates an abortion menace, but no "ovarian bleeding"

"What are the side effect of the injections? " 

When used properly, and in the amounts indicated: NONE 

"Would the hormone "feed" a possible newly developing breast cancer?" 

Pregnancy NEVER feeds the appearance of a breast cancer, and hCG is produced in enormous amounts during pregnancy.
