Hello Debbie: 

Prolonged administration of hCG, particularly when using high doses of hCG(which is NOT the case when the hCG protocol is strictly followed), has been reported in a very few cases to be associated with telogen effluvium.  This is a clinical condition whereas ONLY mature hair accelerates its fall. 

The situation reverses to normal in all studied cases. 

We have not observed this effect when applying the oral hCG protocol.
