Figure 5 (A,B,C and D): Mood assessment

The figures show responses given by volunteers to four of 28 representative questions . Volunteers responded to these questions at the end of each week's treatment. The questionnaire included questions about inter-personal relationships, well-being, self- control when confronted with conflictive situations, etc. (see titles of panels A to D).
All data from subjects pertaining to groups G1 and G2 were pooled ("group G") for data analysis. Initial and final results are indicated by the letters i and frespectively In the x axis: Pi isPlacebo: initial, Pf is Placebo: final; Gi is initial hCG) and Gf final nCG.

Statistically significant differences in group responses to final and initial questionnaires were obtained by applying 2c test as follows: for group G, * p<0.05 (panel A) and ** p<0.002 (panel B); for group P, ** p<0.002 (panel B) and *** p<10-5 (panels C and D)
